The delightful village Aicha with its about 350 inhabitants lies at 730 m asl.

Aicha is sheltered from the north winds and boasts very favourable climatic conditions because of its sunny position.

The former terraced vineyards where replaced by beautiful apple orchards. The traveller coming from the harsh north can also see sweet chestnuts trees here, the first blessings of the southern climate. In front of the church you can admire a very old and mighty lime tree.

The name of this village is first mentioned in a document around 1147.
